Fenwick Landing Senior Care Community provides a unique approach to elder care. While Adult Day Health Care and Assisted Living are common in Maryland, the blending of the two offers seniors the opportunity of an enhanced social lifestyle despite health problems that might otherwise become a barrier to community living.
 | The Adult Day Health Center serves up to 89 participants a day. We offer daytime care in a pleasant and stimulating environment, which ensures our participants are safe, happy, and secure, while caregivers go to work or tend to daily tasks. |
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Time of arrival depends on transportation schedules arranged by the Center, or drop off times arranged by the family. Attendance may range from 2 to 5 days a week.
Transportation is available in our comfortable, wheelchair accessible vehicles. Our safety certified and caring drivers will assist each participant to and from their front door. Transportation is available within a fifteen mile radius of the Center.
Services include: nursing/medical care, health education, medication management, rehabilitative care, recreational therapy, family education and support services, information referral, community integration, nutrition services and transportation.
Staffing consists of trained health care professionals, including a full time registered nurse, certified nursing assistants, recreational therapists, a social worker, program assistants, drivers, a consulting medical director, and a dietitian.
| The Assisted Living Home at Fenwick Landing is available to seniors in need of residential services and 24 hour care. We believe that keeping our homes smaller ensures that our residents receive individualized attention. Each of our homes has been designed to maximize safety and facilitate accessibility. Both the Dunroven and the Dagsboro, are one level. There are no steps or inclines to maneuver, making these homes user friendly to seniors who may have difficulty with balance and walking. |
The Dunroven assisted living home offers 24 hour care and comfort to 15 seniors in a home-like environment. Each senior has a private bedroom. In addition, common spaces, such as the living room with its cozy fireplace, the dining room, a bright and cheery sun room, and a peaceful lounge, are shared.
The Dagsboro is our newest home. This home offers care and companionship for between 14-16 residents. Each senior has a private room with a private 1/2 bath. Two of the rooms are suited for couples. Shared common spaces include a comfortable living room with a fire place, a family dining room, a game lounge, and a library. A beauty salon is also available on-site for all of our seniors.
A well-trained, compassionate staff maintains each home and assists residents with their personal needs. Medications are administered to all of our residents by our trained staff to ensure safety and accuracy. Our manager is a licensed practical nurse (LPN), who oversees resident health issues and works closely with each resident's private physician. A registered nurse visits weekly to help us evaluate and monitor health issues.
At both of our homes, a cook prepares scrumptious home-made meals, which the residents eat together, family style. Special diets are also prepared, if ordered by a resident's physician.
Residents can participate in activities that are available at each of the homes, as well as the adult day center next door. Residents choose daily what they would like to do from a variety of activities, including trips into the community.
Our seniors are as important as family. In addition to the care they need, we offer our residents a sense of belonging and companionship.
