THIS IS WHAT OUR ADULT DAY CARE FAMILY MEMBERS HAD TO SAY…

07-19

Mom went to the Day Care everyday.  She played bingo, did exercises, played games, made crafts and enjoyed going out to eat with her friends.  And I cannot forget the Elvis impersonator that came in to perform.  Oh, I can see her now describing to me how he would shimmy and shake and how her face would light up just thinking about it.  She just loved him.  She loved all the staff at the center as well.  When I scheduled her doctor’s appointments, I had to make sure I didn’t schedule them on days the center had something going on that she wanted to attend.  Oh, I’d better not schedule anything on Wednesday, when Rev. “T” was coming.  She really enjoyed listening to him and talking with him.  I know she considered the staff at Fenwick Landing and the other participants that attended, her friends and loved them all.

Sincerely,

L.

When mom was picked up every day by your bus, neighbors commented on how happy she was when she boarded that bus and how she looked forward to going to your facility.  This always made me feel good that she was in a happy place socializing with her peers.  I wish to express my sincere thanks and appreciation for all your efforts, kind words, and joy that my mother received this past year at Fenwick Landing Adult Day Care.

Please express my sincere appreciation to all the staff who welcomed my mother into the Fenwick Landing family on short notice, for an uncertain length of time due to Hurricane Katrina.  It is the finest facility, program and staff that I have seen anywhere.  You gave my mom a warm, loving, caring environment and her family, peace of mind and time to begin putting our life back together.  Though October 22 will be her last day, my long term dream is to move to the D.C. area to live in a year or so and re-enroll my mom in your fine program.  Thank you for everything, especially your flexibility.

Thank you doesn’t really do justice to the way we feel about the wonderful care you gave to “I”.  You are much more than a day care center, you are like family.  We felt your concern for “I” was sincere and we appreciate the strong support and advice you gave us.  Your friendly staff’s help, assistance and advice made her final days easier for us to cope.

We are glad that you accepted us as one of your family.  We would highly recommend the Crescent Ridge Day Care Center to anyone.  We would like to donate something you need in his memory.

                                                            Sincerely,

                                                            C. and W.

It is the Season of Christmas where families get together with friends to wish each other happiness for the past and present and future times.  My family sends best greetings to you and their sincere thanks for having me at the center.  And I can tell you that I truly appreciate being at Crescent Ridge.

Thank you for having the kind of understanding staff who care.  It makes peace among the elderly there and draws much happiness.  And thank you for having me there.  God Bless You.

As Christmas draws, I wish you all the best.  My son (who hardly has the time to spare) sends his Best Wishes, as well as my grandson.

  Lots of Love, A.

In Honor of the Drivers of Crescent Ridge Adult Medical Day Center

Many days I’m very slow, but my steps pick up with the assistance of the nice drivers who help me through my day.  You know my name, my habits and treat me with respect.  You assist me with walking, help me in and out of the van, and tuck my scarf in my coat on windy days with continuous loving care.

You know the special treats that encourage me to work a little harder.  You know I like the hard candy best.  You’ve all been so wonderful; it’s hard to know how to begin to say thanks.  Please know that your kindness will always be remembered.

                                                                             Sincerely,

                                                                             B. L. W. & Family

To all Crescent Ridge Employees,

Thank you for the service at your Center.  I really love it here.  Everyone is so kind and knows what they are doing.  You always take time to listen to us which is what we all need very much.  Everyone is truly a Professional and you all care so much.  Even though I’ve only been here a short time, I would like to thank everyone.  I love it here.

                                                                        Sincerely,

                                                                                                Happy Valentine’s Day Everybody!

It was 5 years ago today when I brought my dad in there…like a scared little rabbit!  Crescent Ridge helped him heal as much as he could.  But it was a place he could get a sense of worth and belonging.  Things have changed a lot since then and most of his “Buddies” are gone but he still has an attachment there, and as hard as it is each day, he keeps trying.  I want to thank all of you for being there.  God Bless you.

Sincerely,

J. C.

During the past 24 months or so Mom was a participant at the Center, she blossomed like a flower.  Her depression and gloominess vanished.  The care and devotion of all the staff members and the interaction with other Center participants were just the medicine she needed.  Without fail, anytime I had a question, concern or any issue, I always received courteous and prompt assistance from the Center personnel.  The services you provide at the Center are a real God send for families such as ours who are caring for our ailing loved ones at home while raising our families and pursuing careers.  Without your help, I would have had to place her in a nursing home in order to continue with my career.  Thanks to you, we were able to place Mom in your expert care during the day without worrying about her well being.

Every single one of the staff members, including the receptionist, the social worker, the nurse, the driver, etc., displayed a degree of caring and compassion that was sincere and genuine.

We’ll miss Mom, but I have the assurance of knowing that she was happy and well cared for while in our care and yours.  May God bless each of you; and may goodness and light follow you always.

Sincerely,

Y. F. & Family

Words cannot express my gratitude for the manner in how you cared for my best friend, my beautiful mom.  I cannot thank you enough for your support and the love you have shown towards her and me.  She was so very special as are each and everyone of you.

Thank you from the bottom off my heart.

God bless you.

Love, C. C.

This note is for you and your entire staff – both present and prior.

My dad and I thank you for the very fine care you took of him and the counseling you offered me throughout his stay at Crescent Cities.

Your staff – as individual as they each are – come together to form a fine team – each one seemed so interested in his or her area of responsibility.

We wish you all well –with the Blessings of God.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    J. L.

Please accept my gratitude for the care your staff has shown my mother since her enrollment in your Adult Day Care program.  I especially wish to express my appreciation to the attention given to her by John who conducts the music therapy and Claudia who is very attentive and takes special care with her.  She enjoys the music therapy sessions and appreciates the care and warmth of the staff.  I notice that my mother’s spirits are much improved, and she looks forward to going to the center in the mornings, even though she gets upset with me if I come after 5:00 (SMILE).

Thanks again for providing this service.

Sincerely,

J. B.

The words to express this kind of appreciation are difficult to come up with, but I’ll try.

In January, my father was hospitalized for “debilitating depression”.  This illness has been slowly attacking him for many years as a result of loneliness, physical illness and a sense of worthlessness.

Our family was fortunate enough to discover “The Center” shortly before my father’s release from the hospital.  (I wish we had known about it sooner…he would’ve been spared many years of suffering).  However, he’s recovering very well…but it goes further than that.

The Center has given back to him the basic ingredients of life which makes it worth living:  self esteem, health values, personal identity and growth, challenges, trusting relationships with others, an opportunity for leadership and to help others.  In summary, “The Center” has given my father a purpose for his life…something that has been missing for a long time.

It is my hope and prayer that our government and communities support and expand this incredibly valuable program.  It provides realistic solutions to the inevitable problems facing the elderly and handicapped.

Words cannot express how grateful we are for “The Center”, and for the wonderful job your staff is doing.  Your expertise shines brightly!  Thank you so very, very much.

                                                                        Sincerely,

W. G.

You will never know, even if I told you one million times, how much I appreciate you and all the many services you may have provided my mother and me over the past months.

Needless to say, I don’t know where we might be today if not for you.  All of the tasks I have accomplished since the onset of my mother’s situation, the successes I owe to you.  You have given me much insight, knowledge and strength.  I thought I was not going to make it, but I have and even though I still have a long way to go, I am on the road to recovery.  Just like you said so many times, “it will be all right”.

I think back over the beginning of it all and I cringe from the memories of sadness and fear, but with your kind words and bright smiles, came strength and the will to face the next challenge.

Every event of my mother’s condition seems to have a routine pattern, that is, in the eyes of the trained professional, but by no means must you consider this note routine, from the bottom of my heart I am appreciative and I could go no longer without expressing this to you.

Sincerely,

J. O.

To the Crescent Ridge Staff,

Thank you so much for the huge difference you made in all our lives.  It made the difference to allow my in-laws to remain in their home and eased the cares and worries for my husband and myself.  The best to all of you!

J. K.

To the staff:  Thank you for all that you did to keep my mother healthy and alive during the year she attended Crescent Ridge  Thank you for all the help and support that you have given me; I do not think I could have made it without all of you.  Thank you also for the beautiful flowers and other expressions of sympathy.

                                                                                                                God Bless You,

                                                                                                                F.
